In that space of honesty, the hurt and pain that presume its identity is impeccable. You can't quite escape it. What do you do? What do you say? There is the loss of loved ones, the ones who matter the most, the ones who always will. On the other hand, you have the promise that you had once made, that promise to be true to your best. Or do you pay heed to your history, which you don't want to repeat, because you know that the later you speak, the harder it gets. The worse it makes you feel. Do you choose to be different, or do you choose to be honest?
It doesn't mean, it's an end to a bond that had it's own warmth. But rather a new of defining and living up to it. Sometimes, it takes time, other times, it takes a reason. Either way, what you need is that moment to live in, that moment that says it all, that moment that defines it. That moment, which looks beyond the pain, which looks beyond the hurt, that looks beyond the fragility of the situation.
And that moment, is ours.
